Martha Proctor is a bead maker, jewelry designer, and sculptor, based in Western Massachusetts. She primarily works in borosilicate glass, and incorporates her most prized focal beads into her original jewelry designs. Making beaded jewelry since 1988, Martha sold her pieces to galleries in Boston and London while still in high school. A Wellesley College graduate with a major in studio art, she studied the traditional methods of lost-wax bronze casting as well as stone carving. Martha began lampworking in 2003, and is working on bringing her interest in figurative sculpture, abstract art, functional craft, and adornment into her glass.
